Intelligent Development Operational Program

Please be advised that the company CAFFARO W. SZAFARSK I WSPÓLNICY SPÓŁKA JAWNA is implementing the project as part of the Intelligent Development Operational Program for 2014-2020, Axis 1 Support for conducting R&D works by enterprises, Measure 1.1 R&D projects for enterprises, Measure 1.1.1 Industrial research and development works carried out by enterprises titled: “Pulleys for internal combustion engines, micro, mild hybrid”.

Financing agreement no. POIR.01.01.01-00-0582 / 18-00

Project value: PLN 10,308,534.35

Financing: 6,995,149.23 PLN

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund

Project objective: The project provides for R&D work to achieve product innovation

- significantly more durable turning, tensioning and deflecting pulleys for multi-ribbed belts of internal combustion engines, in particular on vehicles equipped with micro and mild hybrid drives. Innovative pulleys with significantly longer durability will be made with less consumed materials and energy and will dissipate heat from the bearings in an original way, which will increase their load resistance:

- thermal - radiation of an internal combustion engine as a result of friction

- mechanical - from belt tension and instantaneous power of drive loads

The new technology for producing pulleys will significantly reduce the consumption of plastics, metals and energy. New pulleys will be made depending on the application in two material technologies:

- made of plastic

- in the hybrid version - from a metal skeleton surrounded by a composite material for more effective heat dissipation

The planned effects of the project are:

1. implementation of the results of R&D works carried out

2. creation of 5 new jobs

3. revenues in business operations due to the implementation of project results
